Originally from Hickory, NC, Christy moved to the Triad in 2003 after completing a Master’s Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and Bachelor's Degree from Western Carolina University. Christy worked for the State of North Carolina for ten years as a Rehabilitaion Counselor with Vocational Rehabilitation and for The NC Department of Adult Corrections as a Probation and Parole Officer, she joined the private sector, working for Lowes Home Improvement in their HR Department.

Christy seized the opportunity to make Real Estate a career after renovating and selling a home in 2016. She currently lives in Winston Salem with her partner and two children. Her oldest son attends RJR High School and youngest son attends the Arts Based School. Christy is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ and Autism communities.
